The Panzer I, Panzerkampfwagen I, SdKfz 191, PzKpfw I, and more commonly referred to as the Panzer I, was a light tank produced by The Third Reich. Its design began in 1932 and mass-produced in 1934.
Designed as a training tank for the German Army, Despite the original purpose of the vehicle, the Panzer I saw combat in Spain during the Spanish Civil War, and during the Second WWII. Based on experience gained during the Spanish Civil War. The Panzer I and her crews would help mould the German armour Units that invaded Poland in 1939 and France in 1940.

The first fifteen tanks that were produced did not include the rotating turret they were used for crew training. Following the production of these first fifteen tanks, production was switched to the combat version of the tank. The Panzer I Ausf. A, with only 13 mm of steel protection at its thickest points. However, several faults were found in the design, in-cluding suspension problems
The driver was placed inside the chassis, using steering levers to control the tank, while the commander was placed in the turret where he also acted as the gunner. The two-crew members could communicate by means of a voice tube. Machine gun ammunition was stowed in five indi-vidual bins,
